It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our esteemed Chief Science Officer and CEO, Russell Paul Rosenberg, Ph.D., who peacefully departed on November 10th, 2023 surrounded by his beloved family. Dr. Rosenberg was a devoted friend, boss, husband, father, and grandfather, leaving an indelible mark on both the field of sleep medicine and our NeuroTrials Research family.
With over 30 years of experience as a principal investigator and sub-investigator, Dr. Rosenberg's contributions to sleep disorders, psychiatric disorders, and medical devices have been internationally recognized. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was an award-winning hobby photographer and a man whose passion for family and life resonated with everyone he encountered. In honoring Dr. Rosenberg's legacy, we announce the appointment of his colleague, friend, and NTR medical director, Dr. Michael Lacey, M.D., as our new CEO. Dr. Lacey brings more than 30 years of extensive experience as a principal investigator and sub-investigator, with a focus on neurological disorders and sleep disorders. His impressive background includes a medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, residency in Neurology at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Epilepsy and Neuromuscular Disease at Emory University. We are confident that his leadership will build upon the strong foundation laid by Dr. Rosenberg. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Rosenberg family during this difficult time and express our gratitude for Dr. Rosenberg's unparalleled contributions to clinical research, the NeuroTrials family, and the world at large. We look forward to supporting Dr. Lacey as he guides us through the next chapter of our journey. |
